Is the store you shop at "Red" or "Blue"?

by Rick Mitchell

Many of the large corporations which own the stores and restaurants we patronize make very large contributions to the two major political parties. Some give 100% to one party, and some divide their donations between the two parties. The following list isn't complete by any means, and it is based on 2000 election cycle data -- but it illustrates the bias of each company since only those giving 2/3 or more of their contributions to one party are listed.

With the holidays upon us, some of us might wish to be mindful of who we patronize relative to their 2000 Election Cycle political donations, as reported by the Center for Responsive Politics.
