Fiore: It's Time to Ask the Question [The Village Voice]

Here's a question (click on link below) people need to ask themselves over the next month.

You have two choices, cast an effective vote for a change -- a Kerry/Edwards vote should do it, or several million ardent conservatives are really paranoid -- OK, forget that argument... OR vote for four more years of the same and probably worse, a lifetime of ultra-conservative Supreme Court justices (soon a solid majority), plus countless other conservative judges (many of whom are incompetent beneficiaries of political lagress), and, of course, Ashcroft, Rummy, Cheney, Karl Rove, Rice, Powell, and/or people just like them (and maybe worse).

These are really your ONLY two choices (staying home is tantamount to the latter choice) this year -- trust me. Maybe at some time in the future, if we work really hard, we may have a truly realistic opportunity for basic change in the system. But not this time. That's the way it is, folks -- Kerry or Bush -- and their people.
